FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DOES THE FOXY PADDLER WORK?

  • Our party boat, the Foxy Paddler, is a 22 person, pedal & gas powered, pontoon bar boat. Riders can sit at the 12 bikes in the pedal station and power the boat’s paddle wheel, relax in the lounge area, or mill around the boat.

  • We’re currently operating 1 party boat in Green Bay. You book either: A GROUP TOUR or INDIVIDUAL SEATS ON A MIX & MINGLE TOUR (See Pricing). Each tour is 2 hours and travels North of South on the Fox River. You may choose to stop at 1 or 2 bars along the river route if weather, dock availability and speed at your stops permit.

  • We provide a licensed & experienced Captain & First Mate to make the most out of your Foxy Paddler tour. The Captain handles driving the boat & running the motor. They create an enjoyable & relaxed environment so that the group only has to worry about pedaling, relaxing, & having fun!

  • There are 12 “bike seat positions” on the boat for pedalers and a large lounge seating area in the front of the boat. There is also an on-boat bathroom equipped with a toilet & sink. Please stick to only #1’s and deposit #2’s on land at tour stops.

  • The seat heights for the bikes are adjustable, however, you must be at least 5 feet tall to be able to reach the pedals. Don't worry if you're not - there is room for riders on the lounge seats!

RIDERS AGE & ALCOHOL POLICY

  • PRIVATE GROUP TOURS may contain riders of any age but any rider under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • On PRIVATE GROUP TOURS All passengers that consume alcohol must be 21 years of age or older. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • PRIVATE GROUP TOURS with children under the age of 16 must also provide their own life jackets and wear them at all times while onboard the Foxy Paddler and on the docks to load and unload.

  • MIX & MINGLE TOURS may only be reserved by riders 21 years and older. Riders under 21 will be turned away at the loading dock and will not be refunded.

HOW DO WE CHECK IN AT LEICHT PARK?

30-45 minutes prior to your tour time… Please find the boat docks at Leicht Park and gather at the picnic table on land by the dock entrance. Check in individually or with your group at Leicht Park.

Whomever booked your tour received a link to the E-Waivers. If the person who made the booking fills out the E-waiver first, it will provide a link to share with your group via email, messaging or chat. The E-waiver needs to be signed by every rider before boarding the boat, preferably done before you arrive at the park. If you have trouble with E-waiver we can help you sign one at the dock. Once you've signed the E-Waiver, the First Mate will give you a wristband and check your drinks. Remember only 48oz total per person in sealed aluminum cans!

When the boat arrives, possibly from a previous tour, allow all riders to exit & the Captain & Crew to prepare the boat for your tour. The Captain will let you know when to board the boat. Make sure you have everything you need for the whole tour before you depart. We won't return to the park until the end of the tour.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD THE DAY OF MY TOUR?

We depart in a variety of weather; hot, cold, rainy, windy. The roof of the boat is hard topped which provides protection. Bring along any other clothes/necessities to prepare yourself for the type of weather that might happen on your tour. Layers are key.

If the weather is too severe, the Captain will make the call on moving the departure time back a bit or holding the tour group at a tour stop until it passes. If Foxy Paddler staff cancels the tour before the tour starts, rain checks will be issued. We rarely, if ever, cancel a tour and will do everything to execute every tour and provide you with a safe and fun experience.

GENERAL QUESTIONS?

CAN WE PLAY OUR OWN MUSIC? // YES! We love when riders know what tunes they want and are ready to jam as we cruise along. The Foxy Paddler has a built in sound system that can connect via Bluetooth to your smart phone.

FOXY PADDLER SPEED? // The boat travels between 2 - 8 mph.

HOW DO YOU ACTUALLY BOARD THE BOAT? // There will be a ramp leading to the boat from the dock. You might have to take a step up or down. Be sure you’re able to board the boat.

CAN WE EAT ONBOARD? // You can bring snacks for the ride, individually or for the group. Keep in mind that snacks should be practical and able to be stored easily. Finger foods or snack packs are best. If you choose to get food along the route, it's a good idea to call ahead so that the food will be ready when you arrive and you can have plenty of time to eat on site. We don't want you spending a large part of your tour just waiting for food to arrive!

HOURS OF OPERATION? // Tours run between noon - 10:00 pm.

WHAT’S THE BEST FOOTWEAR? // Many types of footwear can work - just keep in mind you might be pedaling or stepping on and off the boat. So practical footwear that stays on is best.

FURTHER QUESTIONS? // Send an email to Tours@FoxyPaddler.com - we’d be happy to answer!

WAIVER & RULES

We want to provide a safe & fun experience for all of our riders. In order to ensure that we can do that, there are some rules that must be followed by Foxy Paddler riders. Your Captain will go over the rules with you before the tour and every rider will also need to sign an E-Waiver Form that goes over all of the rules.

Drinking too much can lead to riders making mistakes or bad choices while aboard the boat that may cause harm to them. Or a totally sober rider can get excited and make the wrong decision. Any choices made by the riders on the boat are the rider's responsibility.

Please be respectful of our business and the city of Green Bay while participating in a tour. The City of Green Bay holds us to high standards to ensure the safety of the riders and that we are respectful of the Fox River, public docks and businesses that we visit. If you violate the rules, or cause problems, you may be asked to leave and charged the "Rule Violation Fee".
